Abstract

SARS-CoV-2 infection (and the disease it causes: COVID-19), is less frequent and milder in the pediatric population. The reasons behind this milder clinical expression are under investigation. Never-theless, children are still susceptible to be infected, to develop symptoms and disease, and to transmit the virus. In this article, we review the information about COVID-19 in children, including epidemio-logy, etiopathogenesis, diagnostic approach, clinical outcomes and treatment.
