Abstract
One important weakness in the generation and spreading of the scientific knowledge it is given by the insufficient statistical support in the development of research proposals, managing raw data and writing down scientific manuscripts. In order to surpass this limitation it is crucial to take into account the work of statisticians from the very beginning of the medical research. Academic institutions with adequate development of statistics, issued some general recommendations to optimize the relationship between researchers and statistical professionals. Some of these general recommendations and principles about the statistical support are presented in this paper as well as general good practice rules between medical and statistical professionals.
