Abstract
A malignant mesothelioma with massive pleural effusion in an 11-year-old girl is reported. Despite this is a very uncommon disease, malignant mesothelioma should be considered as a diagnosis in children with unilateral pleural effusion, especially if fever and laboratory signs of inflammatory response are not present
