Evaluation and treatment of respiratory symptoms related to exercise in young athletes
##plugins.themes.bootstrap3.article.main##
Abstract
Exercise respiratory symptomatology is frequent in young athletes. In these patients, bronchoconstriction during exercise with or without asthma, the laryngeal obstruction induced by exercise and respiratory pattern disorders in the exercise are the three conditions that must be investigated. In differential diagnosis, organic or structural thoracic or extrathoracic causes should be ruled out. The study is complex but useful to confirm the diagnosis of any of the three conditions. The treatment must be multidisciplinary with individual approach.
